Koi

Koi-fish are very beautiful fish, they come in various colors, patterns, and sizes. This is a watercolor painting done by Bryan Collins. What I really love about this painting is how pretty much everything is in a curvilinear form, including the fish. Curvilinear lines give off a look of gracefulness and it gives the koi-fish a beautiful form. I really love how the waves are tangled and intricate, and also how two different shades of blue are used. The colors in this painting are very pastel-like, and they don't really match up right, but for me it all works very well.

Graffiti Art

09/30/09
Graffiti Art is one of my most favorite forms of art, and I think it has something in common with Graphic Design. When Graffiti is being created, the artist is advertising their views, thoughts, ideas, and emotions. This wall of graffiti is expressing chaos, clutter, disarray, and gives me a sense of being in a different world. I really like this piece because of the color choices, which don't really match, but they stand out a lot and catch my attention. When I look at the wall, my eyes go directly towards the pig/bat/ball monster with the crazy expression because he's probably the most unique character there. I seriously like this artists imagination, there's a lot going on in his brain.
